Welcome to the Minneapolis/St Paul Chapter
Do you ever wonder where you would move next once it is time to leave your current home?
As we shift into our later years, people are often times rethinking their housing situations. Many are able to age in place, while others want to plan ahead for a time when their needs have changed and they might be looking for other independent living options. Several of our members have expressed interest in learning more about what some of these options might look like. We have put together a series of three learning opportunities for those who are interested in taking a closer look.
Session 1: March 17, Golden Valley Library. Senior Housing Options presentation by Choice Connections and a real estate knowledgeable about the housing market for seniors. See details in last month’s newsletter. Register
Session 2: April 17, Roseville Library. Senior Housing Panel. We have pulled together several of our peers for a panel presentation and discussion. Each has a story to share about their housing search process and experience. Some have found a new community, sold their homes and have moved to a new senior friendly housing situation. Panelists will share their personal experience, what they learned and how they made the decision. Register
Final Sessions: Spring 2026. Volunteers will be coordinating several small group outings to visit and experience some of the housing options one might consider. These will be pop-up sessions announced with the ability to sign up on our website.
