Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a very friendly, outgoing, warm person who is very involved with what I love most and that is connections. I am a leader and run many groups to connect with others have intelligent conversational topics, fun brunches and build friendships. I don’t like shallow socializing; I prefer deep connections with others. I am also a big animal lover, have a beautiful rescue dog my best friend since I live alone.

Connections. Also, I have found C2C chapter offers the best programs SIGs and peer groups with wonderful members I enjoy spending our zoom time with.
What transition are you anticipating going through or contemplating?
I am reaching the phase to stop current job of 25 dedicated years of Social Work practice in health care and very anxious about it. I could use support, suggestions and build more confidence by sharing a discussion with those also within this period of life.
What advice do you have for Coast to Coast members who are considering a career change?
I think it’s great, always learn new things sometimes it’s time to move on I keep telling myself and others this.
What advice do you have for Coast to Coast members who are planning to retire?
This is a big question I don’t quite have the answer to yet, I am in this phase looking to share the discussion.
How do you have fun?
Walking my dog a lot. Sitting outdoors, nature is our greatest gift. Reading is a very big joy. Shopping and lunch outdoors always fun.
What have you learned from all the transitions that you’ve experienced in life so far?
Think hard before you make any decision in your life, very hard. I have made one or two that changed my whole life to this day, not good decisions but at the time it’s sometimes what we really want and need, it’s always a risk.
What new things do you want to explore?
New connections, a more stress-free calm life, relax and know that at this time as we age as a senior, we deserve this.
Describe a personal transformation you are most proud of and why?
Getting over what I thought was a great and happy decision which did not turn out well but how proud I am that I moved on from it and still trying.
What do you love most about the place where you are currently living?
I get to walk everywhere, great location.
What keeps you engaged and vibrant?
My groups, my long walks and deep discussions, learning and having the support warmth and interest of others who I know I can count on.
What are your passion projects?
Forming groups, dog adoptions, always looking for new friends and relationships. Going to the library.
What is next on the horizon or what are you enjoying in the present moment?
As much rest and relaxation as I can get. Accepting this is ok, I don’t always have to be trying to run and do things, rest is rejuvenation.
What motto do you live by or what quote inspires you?
Live and learn.
What fun fact about yourself would you like to share?
I love to laugh.
What’s one unique skill and talent you have that only your closest friends know about you?
Leadership skills.
How do you keep your vitality?
Walking a lot, good nutrition. Talking out my emotional issues as they may arise.
Can you share what it has been like for you to be a member of a chapter that meets virtually?
I really enjoy connecting and was so surprised to find virtual connections can be as fulfilling as in person meetings.
