The Minneapolis/St. Paul Chapter supports women as they make the most out of their "50 years and forward" transition journey. We learn from and support each other as we experience the changes that occur at this stage of life.

We welcome any woman interested in joining our vibrant chapter. The membership experience may involve participation in Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Peer Groups (PGs), the Caring Collaborative, learning opportunities, and social gatherings. Membership is as rich and deep as each member chooses to make it.

Dawn Hughes

We remember Dawn Hughes who passed away on June 24, 2025 after a courageous battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Dawn was a long-time member of our chapter. In March, she sent an email informing our members of her diagnosis. She didn't want people to feel sad for her and embraced her illness with spiritual strength and positivity. Dawn has expressed gratitude for all who reached out to her via breakfasts, visits, emails, texts, and notes.

Dawn and her husband Ross loved music. Their house and property saw many musical events over the years, and she graciously welcomed our chapter to house concerts at her home in Marine on St. Croix. Special thanks to Terri Johnson for bringing Barbara McAfee and her comfort singers to Dawn's home for a beautiful and deeply soothing session of song.

Dawn was a kind, quiet, and caring woman who was a friend to all. We remember her for her calm voice, rich laugh, deep listening and compassionate heart. Dawn was a wonderful woman who will be sincerely missed.
