Community Involvement

Our members volunteer across Chicago. We organize events and activities where members can also make an impact on our Chicago and surrounding communities.  Our members are interested in supporting community volunteer initiatives that support underserved women, children and immigrant families, help end food and shelter insecurities, and provide mentoring and tutoring for young women and youth.

Join Women's Connection members in these Community Impact opportunities:

The Pilsen Food Pantry has served 80,000 households since opening in January 2018. Year after year, the need has increased by 30-40% and the Pilsen Food Pantry is working hard with community partners and individuals to respond to community challenges. The Pilsen Food Pantry now feeds over 500 households weekly, plus the organization provides migrant services, clothing, medical supplies, and literacy tools.

We will be partnering with the Pilsen Food Pantry throughout the year and will soon announce details about a holiday family giving activity in which Peer Groups, SIGs and other small groups of members can participate. Stay tuned for more!
