Urban Hiking
General Information

The Urban Hiking SIG explores parks, trails, and new locations in the metro area with one or more monthly gatherings including hikes which focus on fitness and movement. Our hikes are about 3 miles and we walk at a moderate pace. Everyone is welcome to participate in any or all events throughout the year without any ongoing obligation. We also welcome suggestions from everyone on new locations to explore.

The group uses a rotational leadership model and invite members to select a location and lead a hike.

If you want to be added to the  list 1) add yourself to the contact group. or 2) Contact Lauren Edlund using the Member Directory.  If not a Member, please contact us with any questions you may have.

Event Information
MSP Urban Hiking - Bde Maka Ska - 3.27.26

On Friday, March 28, our hopes of a lovely spring day were not met - 30 degrees and windy. Good news is that it was dry and the paths were clear. Eleven women enjoyed a sunny day with a very brisk wind when on the south side of Bde Maka Ska. Ah well, it's unpredictable springtime in Minnesota. Nothing could keep us from having great conversation and enjoying lunch at the nearby Yum!

On Friday, April 24, at 10:00 Pat O is leading a hike at Edgewater Park around Lake Colby in Woodbury. Register at the link below so she knows to wait for you.
