Tell Better Stories!
Is there someone in your life who tells great stories? An uncle? A friend? A former teacher? What is it about the way someone spins a story that grabs your attention and keeps you listening?
Humans are storytelling machines. We dream in stories. We remember in stories. We laugh, we cry, and we create connections all through the stories we tell.
“The strangest thing happened to me yesterday…”
“It was so sad when he…”
“Did I tell you about the…?”
“But officer, that’s not exactly what happened…”
You don’t have to be a master storyteller. There are simple techniques we can all use to tell better stories in our everyday lives. There are little tricks that juice up our stories and make them unforgettable. Join us for a fun, lively workshop where we’ll tell some stories together, practice some easy storytelling tips, and learn more about ourselves and each other in a low-pressure way. The only things you need to bring are a spiral notebook, a pen, and an open mind. Join us and learn how to Tell Better Stories!!
We are excited to have chapter member and author, Elisa Bernick, sharing her expertise with us at this event. Her most recent book, Departure Stories: Betty Crocker Made Matzoh Balls (and other lies), was published in 2022.
