You won't want to miss this special tour of the Javits Center’s sustainability efforts, featuring the largest green roof in NY State, and a multi-course farm-to-table gourmet luncheon, created especially for Women’s Connection.

More than eight stories above street level, you will learn about the benefits of sustainable building while dining on cuisine created with the rooftop produce. You will hear how this iconic venue has become a nationwide model of sustainability.

The roof-to-table Lunch and Learn program is the latest step in the award-winning sustainable journey, which includes the largest green roof in New York State, a wildlife habitat, and a robust energy conservation program.

Please note: The Lunch and Learn requires a minimum of 14 participants. If the minimum is not met by July 20, the event will be cancelled, and refunds will be given.

Your tour guide will be one of our own members, Loretta Lurie. Loretta has been an Ambassador for the Javits Center since the tour program began, 4 years ago. During that time, Loretta has been recognized for her knowledge of sustainability, hydroponic gardening and the ins and outs of rooftop farming.
