Community Impact - Volunteer at the Humble Designs Warehouse

In 2009, Treger Strasberg helped a friend move into housing after homelessness but saw there was nothing to furnish it. What started as a simple effort to gather basics revealed a gap, and Humble Design was created to fill it.  Today, volunteers help turn empty spaces into welcoming homes for families across Chicago.

At the warehouse, you may: sort and organize donations, prep furniture and pack items for home installations, paint artwork, furniture, or lamps, frame photos and posters, assemble or repair furniture (if comfortable with tools).   Your time helps create a fresh start for families.

Volunteers are welcome to bring their own drinks onsite. We ask that you leave all valuables at home.

If you can no longer attend this event, please cancel immediately on this page.  If you do not cancel your registration, you will be preventing other volunteers from attending because there is a limit of 15 for this event.
