Join us to volunteer with 'I Support the Girls' (ISTG). We will unpack, sort, count, and repack products, and write thank-you notes. After we complete our volunteer tasks, we will enjoy lunch together at Farmsook Thai Restaurant in King Farm.
Collection for ISTG: We will also do a collection for ISTG. Our goal is to collect at least 1,500 products of menstrual hygiene products at Women’s Connection events. Please collect any kind of menstrual hygiene product of any brand or size, that is individually sealed. If you have open boxes, tape the box, and mark the quantity. ISTG also welcomes clean, gently used bras.

About 'I Support the Girls'
Through an international network of affiliates, I Support the Girls (ISTG) collects and distributes essential items, including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products, allowing women and folk experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, or distress to stand tall with dignity.
The movement was started in 2015 right here in DC by one woman who had bras in good condition that no longer fit. Now it’s a global organization! Donations are sent to local shelters and schools. Check out the story and learn more about the organization here.

Directions: It can be tricky to find ISTG from the main road. If you turn into Calhoun Drive off of E Gude, towards the "Yu Noodles" restaurant, ISTG is around back of the restaurant in the row of warehouse garages. They are across from the Stanley Steamer and to the right of Battery Warehouse.
