Join us at Meadowside Nature Center, home to permanently injured, non-releasable raptors. You will be able to view these magnificent birds of prey while the Naturalist Staff explains how they care for them.
Discover what raptors eat for lunch, what raptors do for fun, and how trainers build relationships with these incredible animals.
Raptors are among nature’s finest hunters and most fascinating birds. The raptor bird group includes hawks, eagles, owls, falcons, vultures, and osprey. Raptors are characterized by their keen eyesight, strong hooked beaks, and enlarged, curved talons (claws) for hunting and tearing prey. Other traits include specialized wing and tail shapes for different hunting strategies.
Tickets: In addition to registering with Women's Connection, you must reserve your ticket here for the 2 pm Raptor Caretaker Chat on May 23rd, #PMNC0044-100007. Please register asap while tickets are still available.
