NYC (P) - Tour of Temple Emanu-El and Visit the Museum (10:30am)
About this event
Tuesday, April 21, 2026, 10:30 AM

Over the course of a century and a half, what started as a small prayer group has become a great congregation — a prominent voice for Reform Judaism and in our nation’s ongoing civic, cultural, and spiritual dialogue —and the temple has become known as an important architectural landmark. In visiting our beautiful sanctuary, you will learn about our amazing history, the rise of Reform Judaism, and see sparkling mosaics and stained-glass windows. From humble beginnings Downtown to their stunning 5th Avenue Sanctuary, their story is nothing short of magical, where warmth and majesty meet.
Following the tour, we will be invited to visit the Temple Emanu-El Bernard Museum of Judaica. The exquisite artifacts of community and ceremonial life that make up the Bernard Museum’s permanent collection offer a vivid perspective on the diversity of Jewish culture through the ages.
* Optional -Pay-Your-Own Lunch
After the tour, we’ll head to a nearby restaurant for an optional lunch to continue the conversation about the exhibit and enjoy each other’s company. Please plan to bring cash to cover your meal.
