As we age, resilience takes on a deeper, even more essential role because the kinds of challenges and transitions we face are different from earlier decades. These challenges include identity shifts, health challenges, family dynamics and social support changes, as well as renewing our sense of purpose. All this and more means our habitual ways of being resilient may no longer serve us.
In this highly interactive two-hour workshop, we’ll explore what has shaped your personal resilience so far and learn the difference between managing stress and building resilience. We'll consider common myths and obstacles that may be getting in your way. We'll take a brief look at the neurobiology of resilience and show you how to move from reacting to responding.
We’ll also draw on the latest research on energy management and guide you through exercises designed to expand and enhance your resilience focus and skill-set.
You’ll walk away with:
- A deeper awareness of your unique resilience strengths
- Insights into common myths and obstacles that may be getting in your way
- Practical strategies to expand your resilience options
- Research-backed approaches to managing your energy more effectively
- A supportive, positive community in which to learn and grow
Be sure to login to your Women's Connection account first and you'll be all set to register.
