We will see the impressive triple portal, commissioned by the Vanderbilt family and designed by McKim, Mead & White in 1903, as well as exquisite, glittering mosaics and stained glass by Hildreth Meière, and a magnificent 24-foot-wide Sanctus window designed by Reynolds, Francis and Rohnstock in 1943. Other highlights include a page from a Gutenberg Bible, a baptismal font by Bertel Thorvaldsen, and NYC’s largest pipe organ, an Æolian-Skinner with 12,422 pipes.
