For March, Val is taking us back to NGA for a completely different experience.  We're going to join the tour of the wonderful Italian Renaissance collection.  How did artists respond to the culture and ideas of the Renaissance in Italy? Join us in exploring the rise of humanism in society and innovations in art through works by artists like Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, and Titian.

After the tour, we'll head back to the Rotunda to see the small show "Back and Forth: Rozeal, Titian, Cezanne ."  It's only four works, continuing the theme of how artists engage with art history—and become part of it.  Art history isn’t linear. Artists mix and remix references, finding inspiration across time.  Back and forth illuminates unexpected connections between these four works and invites us to see them in new ways."

We'll meet in the West Building Rotunda at 11:50.  And, after filling up on art, around 1:15, we'll head out to Oyamel to fill up on delicious Mexican food and conversation.

Event Host: Val Ciccarone.   Repeat attendees will be invited to host a future event.
