After years of planning, last fall Princeton University reopened its museum, which features four site-specific installations and two newly purchased public sculptures.  The stunning design is made up of nine interlocking pavilions with a facade of pleated-looking "fins," located in the heart of the campus. This vision was spearheaded by Sir David Adjaye (Adjaye Associates in collaboration with Cooper Robertson as executive architect) - the team which also created the African American Museum in Washington, DC.

The university's expansive art collection of more than 117,000 works, spanning over 5,000 years, showcases cultures all around the globe, from antiquity to the present, and is now presented in triple the amount of its previous gallery space. The new concept reaffirms the museum’s commitment to the evolving practice of object-based inquiry and the principle that art should be available to everyone.
