Beloved worldwide, the troupe performs Night Journey, offering a different perspective on the Greek myth of Oedipus; the Philadelphia premiere of Frontier, a tribute to the vision and independence of pioneer woman; and a special new work in honor of American's 250th anniversary.  The program will also feature the world premiere of in case of fire, speak, a commissioned piece by Tommie-Waheed Evans, for which the company will be joined by dancers from Philadanco!

The oldest dance company in America, Martha Graham's visionary approach and innovative physical vocabulary have revolutionized the art form worldwide. Martha Graham and her Company have expanded contemporary dance's vocabulary of movement and forever altered the scope of the art form by rooting works in contemporary social, political, psychological and sexual contexts, deepening their impact and resonance.

Plus we will gather for lunch beforehand at 11:30 at the French-American restaurant, Louie Louie, 3611 Walnut Street, right across the street from the Annenberg Center. We will be in touch with the event registrants to get a head count.
