Once again, I'm inviting you to one of DC's small gem museums. The Kreeger's amazing personal collection of modern art is presented in a stunning Phillip Johnson building. It includes the most famous artists of the 20th century and several important artists of the DC region. A new presentation of the permanent collection just opened, and the most recent installation of the ongoing 'Collaborative' program will open on June 7. So, let's go!
We'll gather at 11:15, note the time change, so we can join the public tour. Admission is $10 for seniors (62+)/$15 for younger adults. After the tour, we'll head to lunch about 12:45, a short drive to the excellent Bistro Aracosia (menu).
Can you give someone a ride from Metro? The closest Metro stop is Tenleytown-AU, 2 miles away. The nearest bus stops are on the D2, D6, and N4 lines but those still involve a walk of 0.8 miles or more. And then our lunch spot is a 6 minute drive from the museum. I will be happy to give someone a ride from and back to Tenleytown Metro, and to lunch. If you would need/can give a ride from a Metro, please let me know. Also, parking is limited, so sharing rides is encouraged.
Event Host: Gretchen. Repeat attendees will be invited to host a future event.
