About this event

You must log in to your member account to register. The registration fee covers the full series.

Thriving as elders is not just about filling our time - it’s about how we lead a fulfilling life over time. It’s about how we face the realities of aging and its often disorienting changes, while sustaining meaning and satisfaction throughout our elder years.

Using an evidence-based framework, we’ll explore relevant research, identify individual values, share wisdom and strategies, deepen practical skills, expand possibilities and create a personal legacy and mission.

This generative process is designed to stimulate introspection and insight, motivate and guide us to be more intentional about our choices, and illuminate how we are growing and showing up in the world for ourselves and others.

Benefits of Your Participation:

  • Have greater clarity about what drives your choices and why this matters
  • Learn strategies to handle fatigue, isolation and loss with grace
  • Practice powerful skills to connect and refresh your relationships
  • Be inspired with more possibilities
  • Strengthen your intentions to live your legacy and embrace your mission
  • Honor and celebrate continuous growth

Presenter:

Barbara Beizer is a certified leadership and transition coach, working with people who wish to grow and thrive as human beings and leaders. Her practice draws on decades of business and non-profit leadership, a masters degree in organizational psychology and change, an eclectic array of tools and cultural traditions, and her finely-honed intuition. She was a Peace Corps volunteer in India; post 9/11, she facilitated interfaith, multi-cultural community dialogues for ten years. Since leaving the corporate world in 2009, she has designed and delivered nearly a hundred workshops on resilience, transition and related topics. Barbara created the workshops, "Women in Transition" and "On Resilience," for Women's Connection (formerly The Transition Network, TTN). In addition, she was very active in the DC Chapter, and served as a member and President of TTN's national Board.
